WEEKEND RECAP

Written by Captain Mary on Monday, October 20, 2008

Its late Sunday evening, and as usual I can't sleep so I sit and write. Friday was busy even though it was a day off work. Went down to the Schnebly winery to pick up the new Avocado Wine, and what a yummy wine it is. It's not like you would expect, it has a light crisp flavor and really not a taste you would expect. It was wonderful and we put the bottle down in a few minutes at Queenie's house. Did a pick up at the Organic Food Co-op, eating right is a lot of work. I did the regular stuff at the house, when you have 22 animals to care for it does take time out of the day.
Friday afternoon arrived and Monica brought the crew over so we could compress her belonging and the yard sale stuff in one room. It took a little time, but we got it knocked out before you could yell for help. After the crew left I did my job of dog walking and then headed over to Shelah and Jeff's for an evening of relaxation and inebriation.
Saturday, I slept in and then began preparing the next room in my house for renovation. This took a lot of work, I had to scrape off the glow in the dark paint off the walls, fill in all the cracks, take down the shutters, remove the closet doors, tape all the edges for painting. But first I have to prime all the walls, to remove the Spider man theme. Silver buildings and spider webs among some of the decor. I ended the evening early and just enjoyed a couple of hours before my evening out to one of my women's groups. It was Italian Black & White cocktail party. What great food, the company was fantastic and we had a fantastic discussion on topics to amuse our groups. After that event I hit the bed and slept for awhile.
Sunday morning I promised my son, Jason I would clean his house for him before he got home from his cruise. There is nothing better than coming home to a clean house after being gone for the weekend, one less thing to worry about. I got home and began my yard work, mowed the lawn, got most of the edging done, until the weed-eater fell apart. It should be a quick fix at the Home Depot some time this week, for I have to get ready for a party next Saturday. After the yard work was finished I planted some seeds to start my garden, some green beans and peppers. Having a restless evening I cleaned out all of my junk draws, looking for more items to add to the yard sale. Well here I am now sitting at the computer nearly 2 am and I am going to sign off. A busy weekend with lots accomplished.
