GETTING ADJUSTED

Written by Captain Mary on Tuesday, October 07, 2008

Well, so many things in my life has changed in the last couple of weeks. I started by trimming the budget, got involved in some women groups. Got back to my spinning class and karate, and to get myself feeling good, I got back to eating no more junk foods. I just got back from shopping and if you want to be healthy it costs big time, but I'm worth it!
I am also adjusting to evenings in a nearly quiet house, with the gang off to their new home, it is pretty quiet. I still have the yelling of the parrots and the meows of the cats, barks from the dogs and such, but total silence would be grounds for insanity.
I still get to see my kids and the grand kids on a regular basis, but now it seems that the time we have together I spend appreciating them. I have focused myself back on the yard and I am planning to do a nice veggie garden this year. I have a knack of mixing my vegetables with my ornamental landscape so it doesn't look like a garden. Now, that I am again in charge of the yard work, I have been looking around and the list of maintenance is getting pretty long. Had an early day today and I am going to sit down and enjoy a movie and an apple, until the exercise portion of the evening begins. Starting at 5:30pm to 8:30pm, that should indeed get me in shape for my Black Belt testing which is less than three weeks away. Wish me luck!
